Ford 3.2 Liter Powerstroke Diesel filter and parts
Ford 3.2 Liter Turbo diesel(5 cylinder-NEW)
The official word from Ford Motor Company is that they are modifying the 3.2L DuraTorq diesel engine they have been offering in Europe to meet stricter U.S. emissions standards and will be offering the engine in the 2014 Ford Transit van. The U.S. engine has been named the 3.2L Power Stroke. At the time of this publishing, the engine has not received certified (SAE & EPA) power or fuel economy ratings. The DuraTorq is rated at 197 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque. The new Powerstroke is expected to produce slightly higher output ratings. For the Ford Transit, the engine will backed by Ford's 6R80 6 speed automatic transmission. It has been suspected that the engine could end up as an offering in other Ford vehicles, notably the F-150 pickup; this will most likely depend on consumer response. Ford has invested considerably in their line of EcoBoost gas engines, which previously killed off any hopes of a diesel F-150 for the near future. With Ram trucks releasing a diesel version of their Ram 1500 for Fall 2013 (Ram 1500 Diesel), having an emissions certified diesel on standby for the F-150 prove to be a tactical decision.
