Metallic brakes need to be Hot

These have been on car for about a year, and I'm getting disappointed with them.
Metallic brakes need to be hot to work, the hotter they are, better they work (up to a point).
But at the beginning of your drive, brakes don't work well, it's the nature of the beast.
I'm going to pull them and install Akebono ceramic pads, same as on my Toyota, those I like.
