Quick and easy, just exactly the right part. All ends capped. One day I wish the parts places would learn to include a few pieces of FI hose and some new hose clamps (which should be replaced at the same time on FI systems) inside the box to make it a one-stop repair.

2003 BMW 530i - OEM Replacement. If you're doing it yourself, first disconnect the Fuel Pump fuses from the glove box compartment, then start up the car and wait until it stalls by itself. This way you'd not get any gasoline flying off the filter and/or hoses once you manage to loosen the clamps and disconnect the small fuel hoses. At most it might leak a few drops, but nothing crazy under pressure like another reviewer described. I also replaced the fuel hoses and clamps since mine were starting to erode. The old filter hasn't been replaced since Sept. 2005, almost 10 years ago. I noticed a significant difference in throttle response and increased performance with the new filter.
